After scripting a memorable win at Ibrox against Porto, Rangers will travel to the Almondvale Stadium to take on Livingston in the Premiership game at the weekend. The title race is clearly heating up with just a one-goal difference separating the two in the table. Both the Glaswegian giants have also managed to reach the League Cup final. Both of them are even matching each other in European games as well.
Livingston though would look to be the party poopers right before the international break as they try to get something out of this game. The home team are currently winless in their last four encounters, and the high flying Rangers will go in as the clear favourites.
Rangers have got the better of Livingston twice already this season as they won 3-1 in the Premiership game and 1-0 in the League Cup quarter-final. The Lions though were competitive in both those games, and the Bears are unlikely to get a free pass towards three points.
Team News: Apart from Jordan Jones, Gerrard will have all his first-team options available.
Rangers Predicted Lineup Vs Livingston
Formation (4-3-3)
Defence
Allan McGregor will continue in goal for the Gers. Filip Helander has justified his big-money signing so far, but he could be given a breather in this tie. Nikola Katic might be the one to replace him at the back. Connor Goldson was immense against the Portuguese heavyweights in the midweek game, and he should start in the centre back role again.
James Tavernier seems to be struggling with confidence, but he is likely to continue at right-back. Borna Barisic has started to show his true colours in the past few months, and he is a nailed-on starter at left-back.
Midfield
Steven Davis scored the second goal for the Gers in the midweek game. He will start in his usual role in the middle. Joe Aribo only played as a substitute against Porto, so we expect him to be drafted in midfield in this tie. Ryan Jack has been in terrific form so far this season, and he will be expected to complete the midfield three.
Attack
Greg Stewart could feature down the left for Rangers and Kent could be given a rest as he is still looking to get back to his hundred percent. Sheyi Ojo will be expected to feature from the right. Given the form Alfredo Morelos is in, it will be tough not to start him again. The Colombian should get the nod to play over Jermain Defoe.
