Real Madrid will travel to the Ipurua Municipal Stadium to clash heads with Eibar on Saturday evening hoping to secure a victory and go top of the league table. The Galacticos are in a good run of form having won three of their last four matches on all fronts. It is their defence that has been quite impressive as they have not conceded a single goal during that time.
Zinedine Zidane is expected to opt for a 4-3-3 formation but could be without Marcelo for this clash against the Basque outfit.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Eibar
Thibaut Courtois will operate in between the sticks for the La Liga giants after keeping four clean sheets in a row across all competitions. Raphael Varane will continue to work alongside Sergio Ramos at the heart of Zidane’s backline.
Dani Carvajal will once again start at right-back while Ferland Mendy will come into the starting XI to replace the injured Marcelo who has a knock and is unlikely to feature in this game. Zidane is slowly turning his fortunes around for the better at the Spanish capital, and most of his team’s recent good work has been in defence.
The Madrid defenders will be desperate to secure another shut-out at the back and so they cannot afford to take their foot off the pedal versus the Eibar attackers this weekend.
Midfield
Zidane will likely opt for a midfield three of Federico Valverde, Casemiro and Toni Kroos for this league clash against José Luis Mendilibar’s men. The talented trio will focus their attention on dominating possession and dictating plays from midfield. They would need to be a bit inventive and play a few through-balls to release the likes of Hazard and Rodrygo in the final third.
The Galacticos cannot afford to lose the battle in the middle of the park as it could very well go a long way in determining the fate of this contest.
Attack
Los Blancos could set-up with the front three of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema and Rodrygo up top. Rodrygo scored a hattrick while Benzema bagged a brace against Galatasaray in midweek. Hence, both of their confidence will be sky-high heading into this clash at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium.
Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez are not likely to be risked for this league match, but they are close to making a full recovery.
