Real Madrid will entertain Paris Saint-Germain at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Tuesday night hoping to get all three points which will seal qualification into the next round of the UEFA Champions League. The Galacticos are in a good run of form after earning a 3-1 win over Real Sociedad last weekend.
Zinedine Zidane will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation with Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos expected to feature in the Madrid first XI. However, it won’t be an easy task for the home side to keep the PSG attackers quiet in midweek.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Paris Saint-Germain
Defence
Thibaut Courtois is enjoying a rich vein of form in goal for the Galacticos in recent weeks so he will once again be optimistic about his chances of securing a clean sheet at the back on Tuesday night. Raphael Varane will play alongside Sergio Ramos at the heart of Zidane’s defence. However, the defensive duo will find it hard to keep things stable at the back when PSG visit the Bernabeu in midweek.
Dani Carvajal is expected to operate as the right-back while Marcelo should return in place of Ferland Mendy as the left-back. Los Blancos have managed to turn things around defensively after a difficult start to this season. However, they are now flying high despite conceding a goal versus Real Sociedad last weekend.
Midfield
The Spanish giants could set-up with a midfield three of Federico Valverde, Casemiro and Toni Kroos for this upcoming European clash against Thomas Tuchel’s men. The talented trio will focus on dominating the midfield battle so that the home team can enjoy more possession in the game.
Luka Modric will drop to the bench after featuring heavily against Sociedad on Sunday.
Attack
Zidane could opt for a front three of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale up top. Benzema managed to get his name on the scoresheet in his last two starts so he will be a potent threat down the middle. Bale is expected to return to the starting XI after his impressive cameo as a substitute last weekend.
Luka Jovic, Isco and Rodrygo will all be available on the bench. They could come on as impact substitutes if Zidane decides to call upon their services.
