Wolves will travel to the Braga Municipal Stadium to take on Portuguese heavyweights Braga in their fifth round of fixture in the Europa League. The result of this tie could very well decide who might finish on the top of the group as the English side trail Braga by just one point as they occupy the second spot. Braga currently have 10 points and are still unbeaten in the group.
The West Midlands club has shown signs of improvement in the Premier League and Europe over the past few weeks. Wolves started their campaign against Braga at home where they lost 1-0. Nuno Santo’s men have managed to turn the tide since then and have enjoyed some good results in the domestic games as well as in Europe. Both teams are on the verge of qualification, and a draw could see them go through if the other result goes in their favour.
Team News: Willy Boly is a long term absentee as he fractured his fibula. Morgan Gibbs-White is also doubtful for this clash. Diogo Jota will be available after he served his one-match suspension in the previous group game. Defender Ryan Bennett is also a significant doubt because of a groin injury which has troubled him for weeks now.
Wolves Predicted Lineup Vs Braga
Formation (3-4-3)
Defence
Rui Patricio will be back in his homeland, and he will start in goal for Wolves once again. Conor Coady will be expected to begin in the middle of the back three. Leander Dendoncker has proved his versatility by playing in the right side of the back three even though he is a midfielder by trade. He should start in defence yet again. Max Kilman could operate on the left side of the back three.
Midfield
Joao Moutinho scored a spectacular goal against Bournemouth, and he should keep his place in central midfield. Ruben Neves is going to be his likely partner at the centre of the pitch. Ruben Vinagre only managed to feature as a substitute at the weekend, and he could be handed a start in this tie in the left wing-back position. Matt Doherty will be expected to start on the right in a similar role.
Attack
Adama Traore should get the nod to operate as the right-winger. Diogo Jota will be expected to play from the left in an attacking role. Raul Jimenez was involved in a late-game with Mexico when on international duty and he played the full 90 minutes against Bournemouth as well. Hence, he deserves a bit of a breather, and Patrick Cutrone could lead the line in this encounter.
