According to a recent report by The Sun, Borussia Dortmund’s prodigious English winger Jadon Sancho has claimed that Chelsea legends Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba were his role models growing up. The Borussia Dortmund youngster has been subject a lot of transfer speculation in recent weeks, and with such an admission, could end up tipping the scales in the Blues’ favour.

The former Manchester City youngster has been an absolute monster since making the move to the Bundesliga. His tricks and flicks have successfully flabbergasted most of the German league, while his contributions with the national side certainly aren’t going unnoticed either. The youngster has played in nine Bundesliga matches so far this term and has picked up an impressive return of three goals and six assists.
On the national course, despite still being only 19-years-old, he’s already picked up ten caps and found the back of the net on two occasions as well. Having represented England at all the youth levels as well, he is no stranger to the pace and intensity of the English game. He has been ripping defences apart with his magical feet over the last year, and it’s no surprise that most of the world’s biggest clubs are after this prodigy.

Although the Blues have been at the top or thereabouts for many years now, over the last couple of seasons, they’ve dropped off the pace being set by Manchester City and Liverpool. Frank Lampard is currently in the process of revolutionising this rather modern football club, into a more youthful and energetic setup, and Jadon Sancho would fit the bill perfectly.
Sancho already has a relationship with all of Chelsea’s young English players, while the time he spent with Christian Pulisic at Dortmund would also be a massive boost. When paired with the American, the sheer pace and trickery that the duo would bring into the team would be unbelievable for Chelsea fans. Frank Lampard won’t have to concern himself with attacking problems anytime in the near future if this deal works out for the Blues.
