According to a recent report by Fichajes.net, Real Madrid are lining up a move to secure the services of Villarreal CF wide player Samuel Chukwueze. The same source has also revealed that the Galacticos have identified the Nigerian winger as a low-cost replacement for the Wales international.
Chukwueze’s Majestic Rise In The Top Tier Of Spain
The 20-year-old is one of the most promising young players in the Spanish top-flight. The Nigerian sensation has put in some eye-catching displays for the Yellow Submarine this season. Chukwueze has featured in seven matches for the La Liga outfit this term, finding the back of the net twice while providing two assists on all fronts.
The Diamond Academy youth product has also earned 11 international caps for the Nigerian national side and has netted one goal for the Super Eagles thus far. He is an exciting young talent who has the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Therefore, the Galacticos would be fortunate to acquire his services, but he is still far from a finished product and would need time to get to a player of Bale’s level.
What Will The Villareal Speedster Add To Zidane’s Team?
The Super Eagles prospect has blistering pace which allows him to complete some penetrative dribbles with the ball out on the wide areas.
He can make some excellent solo runs with the ball but often lacks the cutting edge to deliver a killer pass in the final third. Chukwueze also needs to work on his link-up play and finishing in front of the opposition goal.
The Nigeria international is still quite a raw talent. The Villarreal starlet’s mind should now be focussed on improving his game in the training ground so that he can be a future star in European football. Losing Bale will be a massive loss for Los Blancos even though Zinedine Zidane wouldn’t mind doing so considering how sour his relationship has become with the Welshman.
Hence, recruiting a player of Chukwueze’s potential will undeniably be a shrewd move for the Galacticos. However, the Nigerian winger might not be an immediate solution to Madrid’s attacking woes as he is still quite inexperienced to play at the Spanish capital every week.
