According to a recent report by Sport, Barcelona have joined the race to acquire the signature of LOSC Lille centre-forward Victor Osimhen. It is believed that the Catalan giants will face still competition from Bayern Munich and AC Milan in pursuit of the Nigerian marksman (via Sport).
It is no secret that Barca boss Ernesto Valverde is on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez. It now seems like he has identified the Lille frontman as one of the candidates to lead the charge at the Nou Camp.

Osimhen has begun this campaign on fire as he put in some wonderful match-winning performances in the Ligue 1. The Lagos-born striker has scored eight goals and created two assists in 14 appearances for the French side this term in all competitions.
Barca are currently sitting at the top of the La Liga table after scoring 28 goals in ten league matches this season. However, with Suarez entering the twilight years of his playing career, there is an urgent need for them to recruit a worthy successor to the Uruguayan legend.
Osimhen has earned seven international caps for the Nigerian national side so far, which is a remarkable feat for a player of his age. The 20-year-old has also netted one goal for the Super Eagles and is destined to be a future star for his nation.

Osimhen is very quick and agile, which enables him to complete some well-timed dribbles in the final third.
