Celtic have been faultless in the domestic games so far, and they recently booked a place in the semi-finals of the League cup where they will square up against Hibernian. Before that though, they will face them in the Premiership this weekend at Easter Road.
The Hoops made light work of Patrick Thistle in the midweek game, and Lennon will hope that his side can continue with their domestic domination. They will also have one eye on the upcoming clash against Cluj at Celtic Park. Therefore the upcoming few days could be crucial for the Scottish champions. Easter Road is often a tough place to go, but the Hibs have had a torrid start to the season so far as they have lost three games on the bounce in the Premiership.
Team News: Jozo Simunovic and Nir Bitton are going to miss out once again. Christopher Jullien wasn’t involved in the cup game because of a minor injury, but we expect him to be available against the Hibs. Leigh Griffiths’ situation could be touch and go, and he is likely to be assessed closer to the matchday. Summer signing Moritz Bauer is going to miss out as well. Scott Bain is yet to recover from his long term hand injury. On the attacking front, Marian Shved and Michael Johnston are out with injuries as well.
Celtic Predicted Lineup Vs Hibernian FC
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Fraser Forster is going to start in between the sticks. The Englishman has looked solid so far. Kristoffer Ajer should start in the heart of the defence. He is likely to be partnered by Christopher Jullien who should be making a comeback after missing out on the cup game. Hatem Abd Elhamed is expected to get back to the right-back spot after starting as a centre back against Patrick Thistle. Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo should occupy the left-back position.
Midfield
Scott Brown and Callum McGregor are expected to start in their usual role in midfield. Olivier Ntcham was impressive in the cup game as he bagged a brace. Hence, he deserves to get a start as the attacking midfielder. Ryan Christie can move on to the left flank. James Forrest should start on the right after sitting out in the last game.
Attack
Odsonned Edouard will be an obvious choice for Lennon to lead the line against the Hibs away from home. The Frenchman has already bagged eight goals for the Glaswegian giants this season in all competitions.
