Norwich City stunned everyone last weekend as they got the better of back to back English Champions Manchester City in a thrilling encounter. Daniel Farke’s men have had a mixed start to the season, but they have clearly shown that they will continue to test their opponents.
Next, they will travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley who would provide a different challenge altogether to the Canaries. Dyche’s men meanwhile are coming on the back of a draw against Brighton and Hove Albion. Farke has insisted on numerous occasions that his side will continue to play their own attacking brand of football irrespective of the opposition and that is undoubtedly going to make this tie a fascinating watch.
Team News: Timm Klose (knee) and Onel Hernandez (knee) are expected to miss out once again. Centre back Christoph Zimmermann has been a big miss at the back for Farke, and he is yet to recover from his foot injury. Norwich will hope that they could solve some of their defensive frailties as they have the worst defensive record in the league so far.
Norwich City Predicted Lineup Vs Burnley
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Experienced Dutch goalkeeper Tim Krul is expected to keep his place in between the sticks, and he will start in goal once again. Farke will be delighted to have Ben Godfrey back atleast, and he is likely to start in defence.
The other centre back spot could likely go to Grant Hanley who has recovered from his injury. The defender only featured on the bench against Manchester City, but we expect him to make a comeback to the lineup in place of Ibrahim Amadou.
Jamal Lewis is likely to occupy the left-back spot. 26-year-old Sam Byram should start as a right back to complete the back four for the Canaries.
Midfield
Alexander Tettey is expected to start in midfield alongside Kenny McLean. Marco Stiepermann will be in his usual attacking midfield role. Todd Cantwell is a nailed-on starter on the left flank. The academy product has started the season brightly, and the youngster scored the second goal in the memorable win against City. Emiliano Buendia will begin on the right, and he usually works his socks off whenever he is on the pitch.
Attack
‘Pukki party’ is seemingly carrying on, and the Finland international’s performances are more than just a flash in the pan. Teemu Pukki would undoubtedly lead the line for the Canaries.
