Norwich City have had a difficult start to the Premier League campaign under Daniel Farke. The Canaries have lost three of their four games, with their only win coming against Newcastle United. They are currently second bottom in the league table, just ahead of Watford.
However, it’s still early in the season, and they have time to recover. The newly-promoted outfit also have one of the most exciting teams in the league, and in this article, we will discuss three players, who could become a household name in the Premier League by the end of the season.
Teemu Pukki
Although an obvious one, Teemu Pukki is currently one of the most talked-about players in Europe, following a sensational start to his Premier League career. Indeed, the Finnish international has scored five goals in just four league matches, including a hat-trick against Newcastle.
The 29-year-old also scored for Finland in their Euro 2020 qualifying game against Greece and Italy respectively, helping the Fins maintain their second-place status in the Group J standings.
Pukki is expected to score more goals for Norwich when the Premier League restart next weekend. And at this rate of scoring, he is sure to become a household name in the Premier League irrespective of Norwich’s top-flight status as he will undoubtedly attract interest from other big clubs.
Moritz Leitner
After a disastrous spell in the Bundesliga for the last three-four years, Moritz Leitner has finally managed to revive his career at Norwich. His healthy relationship with Farke seems to have played a key role behind his resurgence as he is now a vital component of the Canaries’ midfield department.
Leitner has predominantly featured in the double-pivot this season, where he gets the license to distribute possession and create scoring opportunities. The midfielder is averaging over 80 passes per game so far, which is quite extraordinary even for pass masters like David Silva or Jorginho.
If Leitner can continue his impressive form at Norwich, he is all set to retain his status as a Premier League player next season.
Max Aarons
Despite his age, Max Aarons has already shown that he has the quality to become a potential leader for Norwich City in the future. A right-back by trade, the youngster has impressed the onlookers with his tenacity, pace and work-ethic.
The 19-year-old was notably a target for Manchester United earlier this summer. He was identified as the desired alternative for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. But, he ended up staying at Norwich, which was the right decision as the Canaries can help him not only gain experience at the highest level of football but also hone his skills.
Aarons has already featured in all four of Norwich’s matches this term, and it’s only a matter of time before he catches the attention of many top clubs across England.
