West Ham United will entertain Norwich City at the London Stadium on Saturday after picking up back to back wins against Watford and Newport County respectively. The Hammers will now look to continue their good run in domestic competitions by getting all three points against the Canaries this weekend.
Manuel Pellegrini might opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation as he brings back most of his first-team starters for this contest at East London.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Norwich City
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will start in goal for the East London outfit despite shipping in seven goals in his past three league appearances. Both Fabián Balbuena and Angelo Ogbonna could operate together at the centre of the West Ham backline as they look to keep things tidy at the back against the Canaries. They will have to find a way to cope with Teemu Pukki’s goal-threat after the Finnish striker registered five goals in his first three league starts.
Issa Diop might have to settle for a spot on Pellegrini’s bench following his disappointing performance against Newport County in the Carabao Cup in midweek. Ryan Fredericks will try to make a positive impact down the right flank while Arthur Masuaku operates on the other side as the left-back.
Aaron Cresswell might get a chance to feature from the bench if his services are needed during the game.
Midfield
Both Jack Wilshere and Declan Rice will play as the holding midfielders as they try to retain the ball and create a few chances for the front players going forward. Wilshere got his name on the scoresheet against Newport County on Tuesday night, so he will be full of confidence heading into this encounter. The talented trio of Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals and Felipe Anderson will be unleashed just ahead of him as part of the West Ham attack.
The East London outfit are yet to pick up any points at home this season so this weekend’s match against Daniel Farke’s men could be a perfect opportunity for them to secure a win at the London Stadium.
Attack
Sebastien Haller will lead the line for Pellegrini’s team up top. The 25-year-old managed to score a brace versus Watford last weekend so he might fancy his chances of getting his name on the scoresheet on Saturday.
