According to a recent report by the Daily Mail, Juventus are prepared to cash in on their Argentine striker Paulo Dybala with Manchester United eager to bring him to Old Trafford during this summer transfer period. The same source has also claimed that the Turin outfit are prepared to entertain offers between £70m-£90m for their prized asset in this off-season.
Dybala’s Lacklustre Campaign In The Serie A
The South American sensation had an average season at the Allianz Stadium as he struggled to find consistency in terms of goal-scoring. Dybala featured in 42 matches for Juve in the previous term, finding the back of the net on ten occasions while providing five assists across multiple competitions.
He was a frustrated figure and had to sacrifice a lot from his game to accomodate Cristiano Ronaldo who arrived at the club last summer. However, there is no denying that Dybala can still be a natural goal-scorer when he is playing with confidence on the field. The Argentine forward had registered 26 goals in the 2017-18 campaign, which goes to show that he can thrive if given enough chances to express himself in the final third.
Maybe a change of scenery this summer could help him rediscover his old form and become a prolific goal-threat once again in the offensive end of the pitch.
What Will The Argentine Prospect Bring To Old Trafford?
Dybala is highly skilful when in possession of the ball and can deceive his marker using his pace and trickery in the opposition half. The Juve striker can also make well-timed runs behind the opposition backline which makes him a menace in the final third. He is also quite unselfish and is always willing to create opportunities for others around him.
A promising attacker like Dybala will undeniably improve Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attacking options at the Theatre of Dreams. He would be a fantastic signing if Man United can lure him to Old Trafford before the start of the new campaign.
Should Solskjaer Orchestrate A Move For Dybala?
With Juventus willing to sell the Argentine sensation, the Red Devils should consider putting in a bid for Dybala. Solskjaer would have a good chance of landing him if he is prepared to meet Juve’s asking price.
At 25, the South American talent is about to embark upon the best years of his playing career which the Red Devils could look to benefit from over the next few seasons. However, there are still some question marks over whether the Serie A speedster would be able to cope with the physical nature of English football.
