According to Rai Sports reporter, Ciro Venerato, as cited by Independent, Arsenal are on the verge of signing Nicolas Pepe. The Ivorian superstar is set to have his medical in North London sometime next week, becoming the fourth signing for the club this summer.
Pepe became one of the hottest prospects in the European transfer market following his blistering performances with LOSC Lille last season. The 24-year-old was involved in 33 of the club’s 68 goals last season, helping Les Dogues finish second to Paris Saint-Germain the league.
The Ivorian international will surely revamp the Arsenal attack that has lacked the services of a quality winger, following the departure of Alexis Sanchez. And the Gooners were quick to react on this recent update of Pepe’s transfer saga.
A majority of fans just can’t wait for the Ligue 1 attacker to be announced.

However, some fans do wonder whether or not he will manage to integrate into the fast-paced nature of the Premier League. Questions have been raised regarding his overall game as well.

Arsenal’s lack of transfer budget has already been well documented. And rival fans believe that flushing out €80 million on Pepe will hugely impact the financial’s situation, even though the fee will be paid in five-year instalments.

Some are questioning the futility of Arsenal’s current crop of wingers that has pretty much forced the North London giants to make a move for the attacker. But, there are some who are also ecstatic as to what he can offer to the table. Read more on how the Ivorian could benefit Arsenal here.
If Alex iwobi was playing nice football scoring goals creating assist I think arsenal wouldn't have been chasing after Nicolas Pepe

I think Pepe could actually help arsenal defensively, not by defending himself but by allowing Emery to play a 4-2-3-1/4-2-2-2 wide. The two holding midfielders could help the back line

And then, there are jealous rival fans.
