According to a recent report by the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are interested in securing the services of West Bromwich Albion midfielder Rakeem Harper during the summer transfer period but will face stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit of the English teenager.
The same source has also revealed that the Baggies prospect will be out of contract at the end of this month after he failed to agree on a new deal with his club. This recent development could pave the way for him to join Liverpool on a free transfer if Jurgen Klopp can convince him to make a switch to Anfield in this off-season.
The Recent Emergence Of Rakeem Harper
Harper managed to secure a regular starting berth at the Hawthorns last season, but his performances were often quite inconsistent. The 19-year-old scored three goals and grabbed one assist in 30 matches for the Baggies in the previous campaign across all competitions.
