Liverpool have sold their Portuguese midfield ace Rafael Camacho after they agreed on a £5m fee with Sporting CP this summer. The Express has revealed that the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp cannot guarantee the youngster regular first-team minutes next season which is why both parties decided to part ways with each other in this off-season.
Camacho will get a far better opportunity to get into the Sporting first-team as competition for places is currently at an all-time high at Anfield. Thus, it might be a move that will benefit both the club and the player. However, the Portuguese talent’s departure means Liverpool would have to find a suitable replacement who can bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Here are three players Klopp should look to target during the summer transfer window.
Hirving Lozano
Similar to Camacho, Lonzano can play in multiple positions in the opposition half. He primarily operates on the left flank but is equally capable of featuring on the right side if needed. The 23-year-old has enjoyed another stellar campaign with PSV Eindhoven as he scored 21 goals and created 12 assists in 40 matches for them last term across all competitions.
He will be a great fit at Merseyside as long as he is willing to be patient for his chance on the pitch. Klopp could be the ideal manager to make the most out of the Mexican international’s talents.
Mikel Oyarzabal
The 22-year-old put in some glorious displays for Real Sociedad last season when he registered 14 goals while creating four assists in 41 matches across all competitions. He is a Sociedad youth product who could be developed into a world-class winger over the next few years. There are only a few better managers than Klopp who would get the best out of him next season.
Goncalo Guedes
The Portuguese midfield ace has enjoyed a productive campaign at Valencia since sealing a move from Paris Saint-Germain last year. He found the back of the net on eight occasions while providing four assists in 39 matches for Valencia in the previous term across all competitions.
The 22-year-old will be a brilliant acquisition for the Reds if they can find a way to lure him to Merseyside.
