According to the latest reports from Daily Record, Ryan Kent’s camp wants the winger to move to Rangers in the summer. The Gers are said to be leading the race for the English winger even though there is still some interest for him from the south. However, one of the major players, Aston Villa who would have had the lure of Premier League, have moved out of the race for this Liverpool man.
Announce Kent? Sorry, but not happening atleast for a month!
Therefore all the news that is coming out is positive as of now. However, the Bears fans need to hold their gun as it could be weeks before any announcement is made. He is set to be involved in Liverpool’s preseason camp, and Jurgen Klopp is going to take a closer look at him in the summer. Liverpool are going to head to the United States in mid-July, and then they would travel to France during the end of the next month. So the Rangers fans might need to wait for over a month before anything official comes out.
The Gers faithful will probably strangely hope that Kent doesn’t impress Klopp too much in the preseason as the German manager might want to keep hold of him then for the next season. However, we think that is very unlikely to happen given the ambition and squad of Liverpool.
What makes Kent special?
The winger was the standout player down the flanks for the Gers, and he showed massive improvement with every passing month. When he joined in the summer of 2018, there was no way that he could have been valued at around £12m. That is the current price which Liverpool are looking at for the winger if anyone wants to sign him permanently.
Kent’s ability to drive forward with pace and intensity was one of his standout features. However, what took his stocks to the next level was his ability to take the game by the scruff of the neck and turn things around in the big games.
That showed the 22-year-old has the mentality to thrive for Rangers. Kent scored six goals and provided nine assists in all competitions last season. The way he went by his business in the second half of the campaign, he could turn up with more attacking returns in the next season.
His ability to create a magic moment out of nothing and ability to go past defenders with ease makes him an exceptional talent. Hopefully, with this positive update coming out, Rangers can officially get the job done in the next few weeks.
