Celtic might have wrapped up the Premiership title, and they are on course to achieving another treble. However, all that will go out of the window when they take on Rangers this weekend as the fans would want their side to have one final laugh over their arch-rivals.
Both teams played a feisty encounter last time around, and we expect nothing less this time as well (Maybe a bit less if Morelos doesn’t start). Both teams would want to have the bragging rights before the season ends. Rangers are on a good run of form as they have won their last five games, but Celtic would be backing themselves to get a win at Ibrox to show that they are still the best team in Scotland.
Team News
Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi have been long term absentees. All the major first team players should be available for selection for Lennon.
Celtic Predicted Lineup Vs Rangers
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Scott Bain has proved his worth ever since he got his chance to start over Gordon. He is expected to start in goal once again. Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic are forming a formidable partnership at the back, and they should start as centre backs. Mikael Lustig has won back his place since Lennon took over and he should start down the right side of the defence. Kieran Tierney is set to start from the left.
Midfield
Callum McGregor’s form has tapered off a bit in the last few months, but he still remains a significant threat for the Hoops. He will look to get on the ball and effect play in the final third. He should be partnered by Scott Brown who is likely to receive a lot of stick from the away fans, but someone like him revels on occasions like these. He will be in a conservative role in midfield.
Tom Rogic has had an inconsistent season, but his experience of big games is going to be important. He should start as the attacking midfielder. James Forrest has been outstanding for the most parts, and he should start down the right flank. The left-wing place can go either way between Scott Sinclair and Timothy Weah. We are going in with Weah as he looks more dynamic than the predictable Sinclair.
Attack
Odsonne Edouard will look to finish the season strongly, and he is expected to lead the line. The former PSG forward has scored 21 goals this season in all competitions, and he will look to add to that tally in this all-important clash.
