According to a recent report by the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are keen on securing the services of Sebastiano Esposito from Inter Milan but face a fierce battle as the Italian starlet is unlikely to exit the San Siro at the end of this campaign. Gazzetta dello Sport (via Liverpool Echo) has also revealed that the Inter wonderkid’s family wants him to stay put at the Serie A club and honour his contract at Milan which runs out in the summer of 2021.
The Sensational Rise Of Sebastiano Esposito
The 16-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic season while playing for Inter’s youth teams as he put in some glorious displays for them during this campaign. Esposito has registered 22 goals in 31 matches for the Nerazzurri across various youth competitions.
The Serie A starlet has also been quite prolific when representing Italy at the Under-17 level. Esposito has found the back of the net 14 times in 19 matches which goes to show how lethal he can be in front of the opposition goal.
However, at 16, the Italian frontman is still quite a raw talent who has shown signs of promise. Esposito has all the makings of a prolific forward which could help him play an integral role for his nation in the coming years.
What Makes Esposito Such A Special Talent?
Esposito is widely regarded as one of the best young talents coming out of Italian football. His impressive form and hunger to score more goals on the pitch is unlike no other player of his age. Furthermore, the Castellammare di Stabia is versatile enough to play in multiple positions across the frontline. He primarily operates as a centre-forward but is equally capable of playing on either wing if required.
Even though Esposito is currently not ready to make an impact in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team, yet he could add a lot of quality to the Liverpool Under-19 side if they can successfully lure him to Anfield in this offseason.
What Should Be Klopp’s Play?
The Inter striker has a very bright future and can be nurtured into a world-class prospect in Europe as long as he is willing to work hard on improving his skills. Thus, Klopp should try his best to convince the Italian forward to move to England this summer.
