Celtic might be the Champions of Scotland for the eighth time in the row, but the fixture at Ibrox this afternoon showed which side are a more dominant force in Glasgow when it comes to the age-old Old Firm derby. The bitter rivalry has been rechristened on the pitch and Rangers registered a boisterous 2-0 win maintaining superiority throughout.
The improvement has undoubtedly been made as the Gers, high on confidence, must be gearing up for the upcoming campaign already to knock the Hoops off the Scottish perch. Neil Lennon looked completely baffled against Steven Gerrard’s spirited squad, and the Celtic faithful did not hide their frustration and anguish in the social media to lambast their interim manager.
Lennon tactics non existent. Far too many empty jerseys out there. Edouard and Burke couldn’t control the ball even if they had gorilla glue pads on their boots. Johnston starting before Sinclair. Toljan on before Ralston who would have got in about them.
Embarrassing

They were fearful of conceding more and looked a bit relieved when the referee blew the final whistle.
Thank god it’s over

Many took a dig at the players for not turning up when it mattered the most.
Better make a report to Police Scotland about 11 missing players last seen getting off a bus in Govan

Rangers supporters did their part by mocking the Bhoys, teasing Lennon for his cluelessness and weird tactics.
Someone start a petition for Neil Lennon to get the job. He is the obvious choice.

Some highlighted the inconsistency that ruined their season in the aftermath of the winter break.
Absolutely brilliant today and dominant from start to finish but I have a horrible feeling of regret. They were there for the taking this season and I sincerely hope we don’t regret stopping them now. We have definitely improved but inconsistency has killed us

Yet they are confident enough to regain the lost glory and dethrone the Bhoys the next term after closing the gaps astoundingly over the past ten months.
There you go Celtic that was your guard of honour. It was your privilege today to be well and truly trounced by the team that are going to take you apart bit by bit next season.
