Manchester City will travel to the Amex Stadium to clash heads with Brighton and Hove Albion hoping to get a win on Sunday which would clinch the Premier League title for them. The Citizens are enjoying a rich vein of form in the league at the moment having won their last four matches without even conceding a goal.
Pep Guardiola is expected to opt for a 4-3-3 formation and might make a few changes to his team for the final encounter of this league campaign.
4-3-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton And Hove
Defence
Ederson will begin the match in between the sticks for the visitors after keeping four successive clean sheets in the Premier League. The Brazilian keeper is making a late push for the golden glove award and is currently tied with Liverpool’s Alisson Becker on 20 clean sheets so far this season. The ever-reliable centre-half duo of John Stones and Aymeric Laporte could get the nod to operate at the heart of the Man City defence as they try to neutralise the threat of Brighton forward Glenn Murray on Sunday.
Kyle Walker will continue as Guardiola’s first choice right-back while Oleksander Zinchenko operates on the other side as a makeshift left-back. The Man City fans will be hoping that their team doesn’t get complacent and can find a way to grind out a victory against the Seagulls this weekend.
Midfield
The Citizens could lineup with a midfield three of Ilkay Gundogan, Fernandinho and David Silva as they look to dominate possession and create some decent opportunities in the Brighton half.
Fernandinho is a slight doubt for this encounter and so if he is not available for selection on Sunday; then we can expect Phil Foden to get another start in Guardiola’s first XI.
Attack
Man City might opt for a front three of Bernardo Silva, Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling up front. The terrific trio has scored a lot of goals in between them this season and so we can expect one of them to make the difference this weekend.
Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane will be available on the Citizens bench and might come on during the contest if needed.
