Spurs are currently in pole position to secure a top 4 place at the end of this campaign. So a win away at Manchester could go a long way in helping them seal a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
However, the Citizens are a wounded team so they would be desperate to get some revenge when they face Mauricio Pochettino’s men on Saturday afternoon.

Defence
Hugo Lloris will retain his place in between the sticks for the North London outfit despite shipping in four goals against the Citizens in midweek. Pochettino might be tempted to go with a back three of Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen as the defensive trio have worked well together in the recent past.
There is no doubt that it has been an exhausting week for the Spurs defenders as they somehow managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League on away goals earlier this week. Tottenham will need to put in another solid display if they are to stand any chance of claiming a result at the Etihad Stadium.
Midfield
The hard-working pair of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko could line up at the centre of the park as the duo look to stop the Man City midfielders from dominating possession. However, Winks will be in a race against time to be fit for this league encounter.
Ben Davies will play as a left wing-back while Kieran Trippier would try to cause a few problems for the Citizens backline down the right flank.
Christian Eriksen will operate in the number 10 position as he tries to dictate play and feed balls to the Tottenham forwards on the counter.
Forward
Pochettino might choose to go with the same front two that started in midweek with Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura looking to wreak havoc in the attacking third of the pitch.
Both Erik Lamela and Fernando Llorente should be available on the Tottenham bench and might get a chance to play a part in this match if required.
