Arsenal will travel to Merseyside to take on Everton at Goodison Park looking to earn another win on the road to help them in their quest to finish in the top 4 at the end of this campaign. The Gunners managed to secure a comfortable 2-0 win versus Newcastle United on Monday so they will fancy their chances of getting a positive result against the Toffees later this weekend.
Unai Emery will opt for a 3-4-1-2 formation and could make a few changes to his side for this clash.
3-4-1-2 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Everton
Defence
Bernd Leno will lineup in goal for the Gunners after keeping two consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League. Emery might opt for a back three of Nacho Monreal, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and Laurent Koscielny to stop the Toffees from scoring on Sunday afternoon.
Shkodran Mustafi will have to settle for a spot on the Arsenal bench and might come on during the game if needed.
The North London giants have improved a lot defensively in recent weeks so Emery should be confident about his side’s chances of keeping things stable in defence at Goodison Park.
Midfield
The dynamic midfield duo of Matteo Guendouzi and Aaron Ramsey could feature at the centre of the park as they look to retain possession and create chances for the front players in the Everton half. Granit Xhaka is still a doubt for this fixture.
Sead Kolasinac has arguably been one of Emery’s most potent weapons going forward in recent weeks. He will lineup on the left flank while Ainsley Maitland-Niles tries to use his pace on the right side of the Gunners midfield. Mesut Ozil put in a brilliant display versus Newcastle United on Monday night, so he should keep his place in the number 10 position this weekend.
Attack
Emery might choose to start with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up top. The talented striking pair will look to wreak havoc in the Toffees half and will be expected to get the goals on Sunday afternoon.
Aubameyang is still in contention to win the Premier League’s golden boot so he will be desperate to get his name on the scoresheet this weekend.
