Neil Lennon will lead Celtic against his former team Hibernian FC this weekend in the Premiership. The Bhoys made light work of the crucial semi-final clash against Aberdeen the last time around, and they should be confident of another win which should bring them that much closer to the league title.
The Hibs under Lennon did provide Celtic with a lot of challenges in the past two years, but their main man is going to be in Celtic’s dugout. However, we still expect them to cause problems to the reigning champions at Easter Road this Sunday. The Hibs lost their last game in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals against the Hoops, and since then, they have been unbeaten in their previous five games.
Team News
Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi are long term absentees, and they are going to miss out once again. Dedryck Boyata is expected to miss the rest of the season. Most of the Celtic players are fully fit and should be raring to go.
Celtic Predicted Lineup Vs Hibernian FC
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Scott Bain is expected to start in between the sticks once again. Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer are forming a dependable partnership at the back, and they should start in the heart of the defence.
Mikael Lustig has managed to win back his place from Jeremy Toljan, and the experienced Swedish defender should start as a right back. Kieran Tierney will be looking to end the season strongly after missing months of action previously due to a hip injury. He should start as a left back.
Midfield
Scott Brown is a no brainer to start in the middle of the park. His job would be to keep things tight and moving. Callum McGregor will provide the more attacking intent from midfield.
Tom Rogic is likely to start in the no. 10 role ahead of Ryan Christie. Lennon has given Jonny Hayes a go in the team ahead of Scott Sinclair, and we expect him to overlook the English winger once again. Hayes should start on the left. James Forrest is probably in the form of his life, and he is expected to be in his usual right wing position.
Attack
Oliver Burke’s performance has tapered off in the past few weeks. Moreover, there is no point in starting on loan players at this point of the season as they would depart from the club soon. Therefore we expect Celtic’s record summer signing Odsonne Edouard to lead the line against the Hibs.
