Norwich City will look to reign supreme at the top of the table as they take on Millwall at the Den. The Lions are struggling at the 20th spot in the table, and the Canaries are coming on the back of two wins on the trot.
Daniel Farke’s men have made it a habit to win games after coming back from behind, and they showed their steely grit and determination once again as they want past Bristol Rovers in an entertaining 3-2 win. The confidence of the away team going in this fixture should be high, but Millwall are a tough proposition at home. Therefore the Canaries cannot afford to be complacent. Norwich’s record at the Den isn’t too great as they have only won one of their last six away league games there.
Team News
Alex Tettey, Carlton Morris and Louis Thompson are going to miss out due to injuries. Apart from that, Farke should have a strong squad to choose from here.
Norwich City Predicted Lineup Vs Millwall
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Former Dutch international Tim Krul is a certain starter in goal. Farke has persisted with the centre back pairing of Christoph Zimmermann and Ben Godfrey, and we expect both of them to start once again. Timm Klose who has been a regular in the earlier half of the season is likely going to find himself on the bench.
Down the left, Jamal Lewis is a nailed on starter. His overlapping runs down the left creates a lot of attacking output for his side. The right-back spot is set to be occupied by Max Aarons.
Midfield
Kenny Mclean was surprisingly the difference maker in the last game as he scored a brace and the midfielder has filled in well for the experienced Tettey who would be out through injury. He is likely to start once again. Mario Vrancic is expected to come in the lineup now that he is hundred per cent fit.
German playmaker Marco Stiepermann is expected to start in his usual attacking midfielder’s role. The former Borussia Dortmund player has already got eight assists to his name and is a crucial member for his side in the attacking third. Emiliano Buendia should keep his place on the right flank. Onel Hernandez should operate from the left wing.
Attack
Norwich’s trump card, Teemu Pukki is expected to lead the line once again. The Finnish forward has been in terrific form as he has 24 goals and eight assists to his name in all competitions this season.
