The 19-year-old began his youth career playing football in Portugal and featured for clubs such as Dragon Force and FC Porto before his high-profile switch to the Estádio Sport Lisboa e Benfica back in 2015. Felix has fought his way up the club’s youth system before finally breaking into Bruno Lage’s senior team in the first half of this campaign.
The Liga NOS talent has surpassed expectations this term after putting in a series of eye-catching displays for Benfica over the past couple of months. At the tender age of 19, he has made a total of 25 appearances for the Eagles this season, scoring ten goals while creating five assists in all competitions.
He has also represented Portugal at various youth competitions and is destined to play an integral part for his nation soon as long as he can continue improving his game over the next few years.
The Benfica wonderkid is highly versatile and can play in multiple positions across the frontline. He primarily operates as a secondary forward but is also quite capable of making an impact from the number 10 position or the left flank. The Viseu born dazzler boasts incredible pace which helps him dribble with the ball at top speed out in the wide areas.
Felix’s potential acquisition will undoubtedly bolster Pep Guardiola’s attacking options at the Etihad Stadium.
