It was a hard-fought contest between Norwich City and Swansea City in the Championship as the Canaries got the better of their opponents by a narrow margin of 1-0. The Swans looked like the better side on a number of occasions throughout the night, but the hosts held their fort well. They kept the one-goal lead intact until the final whistle and came out on the top of the Welsh side.
Here is how the Norwich City players were rated from their win against Swansea City.
Tim Krul: 8
The star of the show for the Canaries on the night. Made a number of brilliant saves to keep his side in the match. His performance in the goal tonight was the key for Norwich in picking up three crucial points in the Championship race.
Max Aarons: 6
Looked to get the ball up the field with his darting runs down the right flank. Lacked the defensive composure though.
Christoph Zimmerman: 7
A decent performance in the heart of the backline. Kept the opposition strikers at bay with his timely tackles.
Ben Godfrey: 6
His physical presence in the defence was a big plus for the Canaries as he helped Krul to keep a clean sheet. Looked a bit tired in the second half though.
Jamal Lewis: 6
Made a few good runs up the pitch but lacked the accuracy in his passing. Did well defensively against the likes of Nathan Dyer and George Byers.
Kenny McLean: 7
A calm and composed performance in the middle of the pitch. Went into tackles fearlessly to get the ball away from the opposition midfielders and broke down their attacks before building.
Tom Trybull: 6
Looked to keep the ball possession high and initiate attacks from the midfield. Looked fatigued in the second half though.
Emiliano Buendia: 7
Scored the all-important goal in the 64th minute to get his side over the line. Looked lively throughout the match and kept getting into the box whenever the opportunity was there.
Marco Stiepermann: 5
A subdued performance from the attacking midfielder as he lost the ball on a number of occasions to the opposition defenders. His passing and shot making were also inaccurate on the night.
Onel Hernandez: 7
Deceived the Swansea defenders with his classy skills quite a few times. Set Buendia up in front of the goal with a pinpoint pass to notch up the winning goal for his side.
Teemu Pukki: 6
Could not breach the resilient Swansea defence on the night. Kept the pressure on them with his physicality in the box though.
