The same source has also revealed that the Red Devils are still locked in negotiations with the player’s representatives. However, there are a few concerns over the agent fees which is driving the price up.
This recent development will be a welcome bit of news for anyone associated with Man United. Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s team cannot afford to lose a player of De Gea’s quality as he has established himself as one of the best, if not the best goalkeeper in European football.
The 28-year-old has already put in some match-winning displays in goal for United during this campaign.
