Everton suffered a hard-fought defeat in the FA Cup fourth round matchup against Millwall and crashed out of the tournament. However, the Toffees would look to put this disappointment behind them when they take on Huddersfield Town in their next match in the Premier League.
Huddersfield Town would also look to return to winning ways under the tutelage of their new manager Jan Siewert, who replaces David Wagner at the helm of the Terriers. With the home advantage behind them, Huddersfield would look to give the visitors a hard time at the John Smith’s Stadium for sure.
Team News
Marco Silva has almost a fully fit squad at his disposal, except for Yerry Mina, who picked up a knock in the match against Millwall and would be assessed before the next game. Phil Jagielka is ruled out of the upcoming clash due to an injury.
Goalkeeper
Jordan Pickford had a hard time in the goal against Millwall. He would look to have a better outing in the next clash as he starts in goal for Everton.
Defence
The duo of Kurt Zouma and Michael Keane would feature in the heart of the backline for the Toffees. Seamus Coleman would keep his place in the right back position while Lucas Digne would put in a shift as the left back.
Midfield
Andre Gomes and Idrissa Gana Gueye would start in central midfield. Bernard would make his way back into the starting lineup to play on the left side of the midfield. Ademola Lookman would put in a shift from the right-hand side. Gylfi Sigurdsson would start as the attacking midfielder right behind the striker.
Attack
Richarlison would once again be back in this position as the main man to lead the line for the Toffees after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s disappointing display against Millwall. Cenk Tosun would be available on the bench.
Predicted Formation: 4-2-3-1
