The Clarets themselves are on a resurgent path after a poor start to the season. They have only lost once in their last six games, and that defeat came against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
The Norwegian manager has a chance to become the first ever manager to win his first seven games in the Premier League. At six wins, he is currently tied with the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola. Given their current form, United are expected to go past their rivals at Old Trafford.

Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini are definitely out of this encounter. Chris Smalling is close to returning but this game is going to come a bit too soon for him, and he is not expected to be available.

Defence
David De Gea is the undisputed no. 1 to start in goal for the Red Devils. Victor Lindelof has emerged as an essential player under the new manager, and the Swedish international is finally showing his worth. He should start in the centre back role and is likely to be partnered by the experienced Phil Jones.
Ashley Young’s crossing and set-piece deliveries are always a significant threat, and he should start as the right back. Luke Shaw is expected to begin on the left side of the defence to complete the back four.
Midfield
Nemanja Matic is expected to start in the deepest role in midfield, and his primary job would be to shield the back four. Paul Pogba is finally showing his value in a United shirt, and a lot will depend on him. He should start on the left of the midfield three with Ander Herrera, the workhorse, staring on the right.

Alexis Sanchez’s performance in the FA Cup tie was impressive, but we expect Anthony Martial to start on the left flank. Jesse Lingard’s link up play has been impressive, and he is one of the major reasons why the United attack is playing as a cohesive unit. He should start on the right. Marcus Rashford is definitely the no. 1 striker in Solskjær’s eyes and his pace up front allows United to play swiftly on the counter-attack. The Englishman is expected to lead the line against the Clarets.
