Wolves clinched a surprise victory against Tottenham Hotspur beating them at Wembley by 1-3 in the last fixture. This win would work as a significant boost for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side when they face Crystal Palace in their next match in the Premier League.
Palace, on the other hand, had a disappointing outing against Chelsea in the last match. Roy Hodgson’s men were not able to contain their London rivals as they won the game by 1-0, handing the Eagles a defeat to end the year with. However, they would surely look to bounce back when they take on Wolves at the Molineux in their first match of the new year.
Team News
Wolves don’t have any major injury worries to deal with except Diogo Jota, who might be back in action ahead of the next match. Bright Enobakhre, who is out on loan at Kilmarnock, will also be back in the side on January 1.
Goalkeeper
Rui Patricio had a good game against Spurs as he made a series of saves to deny the opposition attack. He would start in goal against Crystal Palace in the next match.
Defence
The trio of Willy Boly, Ryan Bennett and Conor Coady would start in the backline for Wolves. They did well against Spurs and would look to keep their composure intact against the Eagles as well.
Midfield
Matt Doherty and Jonny would start in the wingback roles, on the right and left sides of the midfield respectively. The duo of Ruben Neves and Leander Dendoncker would begin in the heart of the midfield once again.
Attack
Raul Jimenez was in good form in the last match and scored a brilliant goal to contribute in his side’s victory. He would lead the line in the next encounter as well. Ivan Cavaleiro would put in a shift as the wide attacker from the left while Adama Traore is expected to start on the right.
Predicted Formation: 3-4-3
