Birmingham City are winless in their last four games, and they travel to Carrow Road for a tough assignment where they will lock horns with Norwich City. The Canaries themselves are going through a rocky patch as they have drawn three of their last five games and are looking for a win. That has seen them slip from the automatic promotion spots as they are currently behind on goal difference to Sheffield United, a team which holds the second spot now.
The Canaries would definitely want to bounce back and kickstart their campaign once again. They have surprised everyone by their attacking displays as apart from West Brom, no team have scored more goals than them this season.
Team News
Marco Stiepermann should be close to recovery, but the German might miss out this tie. Moritz Leitner is also unlikely to be available. Grant Hanley is set to miss out because of suspension.
Norwich City Predicted Lineup Vs Birmingham City
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Tim Krul is set to continue as the no.1 in goal for Farke’s side. Christoph Zimmermann is a nailed on starter in the heart of the defence. Timm Klose was fit to be on the bench in the last game but didn’t start so maybe the Canaries are set to continue with Ben Godfrey along with Zimmermann at the back.
20-year-old Jamal Lewis has been impressive in his displays, and he is likely to continue in the left-back role. The right side of the defence is expected to be occupied by Max Aarons who has established himself as the first choice right back.
Midfield
Alex Tettey is the engine room of the side, and his work rate from midfield is vital for the Canaries. He is set to start in the middle of the park. Mario Vrancic is going to partner him, and his job would be to be the creative influence from the midfield region.
Onel Hernandez’s pace and dribbling skills are going to be tough for the Birmingham defence to handle. He is going to start from the left. Todd Cantwell is likely to start just behind the striker. Argentine playmaker Emiliano Buendía should start from the right though one can expect to see him and Cantwell exchanging their places throughout the game.
Attack
In Teemu Pukki, Norwich have one of the best goal scorers in the Championship and the Finnish international has already racked up 15 goals to go with five assists in 24 Championship games. He is expected to lead the line.
