He has a knack for scoring goals from midfield which is why two of the best European clubs are interested in his services.
The Mexican talent is vastly experienced at the international level, having earned 70 international caps for the Mexican national side and scoring five goals for them so far. At 28, Herrera is playing the best football of his career at this moment, so this could be an ideal opportunity for him to move to a foreign club in search of more challenging adventures.
The Tijuana-born talent is a multi-purpose midfielder who can do a bit of everything at the centre of the park. He primarily operates as a holding midfielder but can also play in a more advanced role in midfield. He has improved his game a lot over the past few years so it might just be the right time for him to switch clubs and win some major trophies for one of the top clubs in Europe.
The addition of Herrera will undoubtedly improve Unai Emery’s midfield options at the Emirates Stadium.
