Tottenham Hotspur will face off against Bournemouth on Wednesday night looking to build on their impressive 6-2 victory away at Everton last weekend. Spurs are in a rich vein of form in the Premier League so they would be confident about claiming all three points from this contest in front of the Tottenham fans inside the Wembley Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino is expected to stick with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and might bring Danny Rose back into his starting XI for this midweek encounter.
4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Bournemouth
Defence
Hugo Lloris will feature as Pochettino’s first-choice goalkeeper despite shipping in two goals against Everton on Sunday evening. The French keeper is slowly returning to top-form and would hope to keep things solid at the back against a dangerous Bournemouth team in midweek.
Both Toby Alderweireld and Juan Foyth will feature as the central defenders looking to keep the Cherries attackers at bay on Wednesday evening. Jan Vertonghen can be ruled out of this contest due to injury while Davinson Sanchez will be in for a late fitness test to determine whether he can play any part this week.
Serge Aurier is a significant doubt for this encounter, so Kieran Trippier would operate as the right-back. Pochettino has made a habit of switching his left-backs for every match so Danny Rose should start against the Cherries following Ben Davies’ heavy involvement at Goodison Park.
Midfield
Both Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko should continue as the holding midfielders as they look to put in another tireless shift and retain possession in midfield. The terrific trio of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-min Son could be deployed ahead of them as they aim to exchange passes and create some good chances in and around the Bournemouth penalty box.
Both Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura should be available on the Spurs bench and might come on during the match if needed.
Attack
Harry Kane managed to score a brace against the Toffees on Sunday which should give him a lot of confidence going into this clash against the Cherries inside a packed Wembley Stadium. The English forward is currently playing his best football of this campaign so we can expect him to find the back of the net on Wednesday evening.
