Manchester United took on Bournemouth earlier this evening looking to continue their resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjær. The Red Devils began the match with a lot of attacking intent and scored in the 5th minute courtesy of Paul Pogba’s poked finish from close range. The Frenchman doubled the home side’s lead in the 33rd minute with his well-timed header.
Anthony Martial scored United’s third goal in the 45th minute, but the Cherries managed to get a goal back just before the half-time break through Nathan Ake’s powerful header. The second half was more of the same with Solskjær’s team dominating possession while the Cherries sat back and tried to hit United on the counter. Romelu Lukaku came off the bench to score with a delicate finish to cap off a fine victory over Eddie Howe’s men as the match finished 4-1 in favour of the Red Devils.
Let’s take a look at how each Man United player performed during the match against the Cherries.

RB: Ashley Young – 7/10
The English talent made some excellent runs down the right flank and created some fantastic chances for United in the first half.

He looked solid in defence and commanded his box well. However, Bailly got his marching orders after a rash challenge on Ryan Fraser in the second half.
CB: Victor Lindelöf – 6/10
He looked a bit shaky during set-pieces, but otherwise, Lindelof managed the game well to help United earn a brilliant win at Old Trafford.

The English left-back provided some much-needed width down the left flank but lacked the cutting edge in the final third.
CM: Ander Herrera – 8/10
The Spanish midfielder made some excellent interceptions in midfield and showed a lot of invention going forward.

Ake got the better of him in the lead up to the Bournemouth goal before half-time. Other than that, he had a fantastic game in the centre of the park.
RAM: Jesse Lingard – 6/10
The English sensation had an uneventful game, but fortunately for him, his teammates around him were all in-form.

The French midfielder was brilliant as he was given a lot of freedom to express himself. He managed to score two goals and create one assist which ultimately made the difference on the day.
LAM: Anthony Martial – 7.5/10
The French attacker looked a real threat down the left flank and picked out Pogba with an excellent pass in the first half.
