According to a recent report by Liga Financial, Liverpool are currently leading the chase to secure the services of Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The same report also claims that the Reds are prepared to make an offer for the Belgian prospect during the winter transfer window.
The Mirror has also revealed that the Bundesliga attacker has a release clause of £26m inserted in his current contract with Monchengladbach. The 25-year-old has been in a rich vein of form this season and has already lit up the German top-flight with some dazzling displays so far. The Belgian talent has featured in 16 matches for the German outfit this term, scoring 11 goals while grabbing seven assists across all competitions.
Thorgan Hazard’s Career In A Nutshell
Hazard began his career playing for Belgian club, Tubize Jugend before spending most of his youth career with RC Lens in France. Chelsea decided to snap him up in the summer of 2012, but unlike his brother Eden, Thorgan failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge and had to go out on loan to play for Zulte Waregem in Belgium and Borussia Monchengladbach.
He was really impressive during his time in Germany which is why the Bundesliga team decided to sign him permanently in the summer of 2015.
What Will The Belgian Winger Bring To Anfield?
Hazard is blessed with excellent pace and can dribble with the ball out of tight areas and cause problems in the final third. He is an exceptional talent and can link up play well in the opposition half. The Belgian sensational has developed a habit of scoring and creating goals on a consistent basis in Germany, so if he can continue with his recent record, then he could turn out to be a world-class winger in the coming years.
At 25, the Bundesliga talent is about to embark upon the peak years of his career and Liverpool could be the perfect place for him to redeem himself (case in point Mo Salah) and prove his worth in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp has a knack for developing talented young players so Hazard could flourish under the German manager if given a chance to showcase his skills in England once again.
Should The Reds Move In For Him?
It could prove to be a shrewd piece of business for the Reds if they can lure the Belgian rising star to make a move to Anfield in January as he has shown enough quality this season to justify his place at a big club like Liverpool.
