West Ham United are in dire straits in the Premier League and are looking to bounce back from their disappointing 4-0 defeat against Manchester City in their last outing. The Hammers are currently stranded at the 14th position in the league table and should look to get all three points when they face Newcastle United away from home.
Manuel Pellegrini would be desperate for his side to win a few matches in a row and bring back their lost confidence. The east London side have managed to win only 3 out of their 13 games so far this season and are looking destined to enter the relegation battle if things remain the same way for them.
Team News
The Chilean mastermind would be delighted to get the midfield maestro Jack Wilshere back in the side after a long injury lay-off. However, players like Manuel Lanzini, Andriy Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez and Ryan Fredericks are still out with injuries and will not play any part in the next match against the Magpies.
Goalkeeper
Lukasz Fabianski will start in the goal for the Hammers once again. He will look to leave behind the disappointment of conceding four goals in the last match against the Citizens and would hope to deliver a better performance against Newcastle United.
Defence
The duo of Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop have performed well so far this season. They will once again look to do their best to guard the goal against the might of the Magpies. Pablo Zabaleta will start on the right hand side of the defence while Aaron Cresswell would put in his shift from the left.
Midfield
With Wilshere returning to the side, the midfield will gain some much-needed strength ahead of this crucial clash. Grady Diangana will start in the central midfield alongside the Englishman, and Declan Rice will start right behind them. Robert Snodgrass will begin from the right hand side of the midfield while Felipe Anderson will play as the left-sided wide attacker.
Attack
Manuel Pellegrini has all his strikers fit and ready for the next match, but he should go in with Marko Arnautovic. The Austrian has been in decent form of late and has shown composure in front of the goal on a number of occasions this season. He will have to display his goal-scoring abilities once again to give his side the advantage against the Magpies at St James Park.
Predicted Formation: 4-1-4-1
