Real Madrid went onto win their third match on a trot under Santiago Solari, and it was a big one. The Galacticos scored five times in the second leg of their matchup against Viktoria Plzen away from home to register their name in the next round of the Champions League. Karim Benzema scored two goals while Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Casemiro chipped in with one goal apiece as Los Blancos went onto register their biggest ever win in the Champions League.
However, it has not been a good season so far for Real in the La Liga, and they are currently standing in the 6th position on the league table. The Galacticos are in dire need of positive results to revive their season and would look to grab nothing less than three points when they face Celta Vigo in their next matchup.
It would not be an easy job as Celta Vigo have enough capability to defeat them and the kind of form they have been since the start of the season, one can’t bet that the Galacticos are firm favourites going into the match.
Team News
Marcelo, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane are still out of the side with their injuries and would not return to the side for the match against Celta. However, Solari has found good enough substitutes for them in the form of Alvaro Odriozola and Sergio Reguilon and will field a strong enough first eleven.
Goalkeeper
Thibaut Courtois had almost nothing to do against Plzen in the last match, with a couple of shots coming his way. However, it will not be the same situation for the big Belgian for sure when he starts in the goal for Real against Celta.
Defence
Sergio Ramos will guard the heart of the defence along with Nacho. Alvaro Odriozola will start on the right-hand side of the backline, and Sergio Reguilon will be deployed in the left back position.
Midfield
Luka Modric was rested against Viktoria Plzen but would return to the starting lineup against Celta Vigo. He will pair up with Toni Kroos and Casemiro in the midfield and will look to dominate the proceedings from the word go.
Attack
Karim Benzema was in prolific form in the Champions League encounter and would look to repeat the same performance against their next opponents in the La Liga. He will be accompanied by Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio, who will add to the firepower from the right and left-hand sides respectively.
Predicted Formation: 4-3-3
