According to a recent report by the Metro, Manchester United have held talks with Juventus over the potential transfer of Paul Pogba. It is understood that the Serie A giants are eager to bring the French midfielder back to Turin with United willing to discuss the possibility of him leaving Old Trafford soon.
The same report has also claimed that Pogba will opt for a return back to the Juventus Stadium after his relationship with Jose Mourinho broke down in recent times. The Frenchman has often flattered to deceive under the Portuguese manager this season and both of them have been critical about each other in front of the media which has not helped United’s cause.
The 25-year-old has still managed to score five goals and grab four assists in 15 matches for the Mancunian heavyweights this season in all competitions. He is currently out of action with a muscle injury and would be in a race against time to be fit for the league clash against Crystal Palace this weekend.
What Does The Frenchman Add To Mourinho’s Side?
Pogba is a dominant presence and displays a lot of athleticism in midfield. The French powerhouse boasts a fantastic passing range as he can play both short and long passes quite accurately. The 25-year-old can dribble with the ball at a rapid pace while making full use of his strength and power to get past his marker.
It’s a shame that Mourinho has not been able to get the best out of his talents this season which has harmed United’s chances of challenging for the Premier League title.
Will Pogba’s Departure Be A Good Move For All Parties?
The French midfielder might start performing at a high level if he is happy on the pitch which currently doesn’t seem to be the case at Old Trafford. Hence, a move back to Turin could help him perform more effectively while the Reds of Manchester should use the money generated from his transfer to bring in a suitable replacement or strengthen other areas of their squad.
