Chelsea will take on Everton at Stamford Bridge this Sunday looking to continue their excellent run of form in the Premier League. The Pensioners are yet to be beaten in the league this season, but they will be in for a tough test this weekend as the Toffees possesses the threat to trouble them in front of their home supporters.
Maurizio Sarri is expected to opt for a 4-3-3 formation and might revert to his strongest starting XI for this match.
4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Everton
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will keep his place in goal for the Pensioners this weekend after securing a clean sheet against BATE Borisov in midweek. The defensive duo of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger is expected to resume their centre-back duties at the heart of Sarri’s backline after they were both rested on Thursday night.
Cesar Azpilicueta would play as the right-back while Marcos Alonso looks to link up with Hazard down the left wing. The Chelsea defence will come up against one of the trickiest players in the league in Richarlison; hence it won’t be an easy task for them to neutralise the threat of the Brazilian prospect.
Midfield
The Pensioners might line up with the midfield trio of Ross Barkley, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante who are expected to feature at the centre of the pitch following a string of eye-catching displays over the past few weeks. Barkley has been in fine form after finding the back of the net twice in his last three league starts which should give him some confidence to get his name on the scoresheet this Sunday.
Attack
Eden Hazard has been out with an injury in recent weeks. However, he recovered in time to face BATE in the UEFA Europa League. The Belgian should get a start against the Toffees this weekend and might play alongside Alvaro Morata, who will lead the lines for the home side while Willian looks to penetrate down the right flank.
Pedro should be available on the bench and might come on during the contest if required.
