Chelsea will entertain Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening hoping to pick up maximum points from this clash. The Pensioners have made a terrific start to their league campaign and are currently one of the favourites to win the Premier League. However, Maurizio Sarri’s team are still two points behind Manchester City and Liverpool, and so they would need to earn a win against the Eagles to keep up the pressure on their title rivals at the top of the league standings.
The Chelsea boss might stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and name Eden Hazard in his first-team for this weekend’s encounter against Roy Hodgson’s team.
4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Crystal Palace
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will start in goal for the Blues this weekend after keeping a much-needed clean sheet against the Clarets last weekend. The centre-half duo of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger is expected to resume their defensive roles at the heart of Sarri’s backline.
Cesar Azpilicueta would operate as the right-back while Marcos Alonso looks to join in on the attack down the left flank. The Chelsea defence will come up against one of the trickiest players in the league in Wilfried Zaha, and so it won’t be easy for them to neutralise the threat of the Ivory Coast international.
Midfield
The Chelsea midfield trio of Ross Barkley, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante will feature at the centre of the pitch. Barkley has been in a rich vein of form after scoring two goals in his last two league starts, and so we can expect the English talent to be a significant goal-threat on Sunday.
Attack
Eden Hazard has been out with an injury but should complete his recovery in time to start in this match. Willian will operate as a right winger while Alvaro Morata looks to find the back of the net up top.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek might be named on the bench especially after his wonderful cameo last weekend when he came on to score in injury-time versus the Clarets.
