Arsenal Vs Liverpool Preview: Team News, Predicted Lineups, Key Men And Odds

Arsenal have been going strong so far this season in all competitions after the disappointment of the last two terms. Their 13-match unbeaten run is undoubtedly something to cherish for their fans and the players alike. However, the Gunners have a stern test coming up against Liverpool, who are also looking rampant since the start of the season and are yet to lose a match in the league.

The Reds have won eight of their ten matches so far in the Premier League and would look to extend it further. However, they will have to face a tough opponent in the form of Arsenal in their next outing. Jurgen Klopp will be wary of the fact that his front three has not performed so well but would also be boosted by the presence of possibly the best defence in the league this term.

Team News

Arsenal

With the likes of Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac on the injured list, it would be a tough task for Unai Emery to compose a strong back four. Midfielders Matteo Guendouzi (suspension) and Mohamed Elneny (injury) are also out of this contest adding to the worry for the Arsenal manager.

Liverpool

Apart from long-term absentee Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Jurgen Klopp has playmaker Naby Keita and captain Jordan Henderson on the injury list. Neither of the two are available for selection for the mega clash against Arsenal, and the German mastermind would have a tough time composing his midfield.

Predicted Lineups

Arsenal

Leno, Lichtsteiner, Holding, Mustafi, Xhaka, Torreira, Ramsey, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Liverpool

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Salah, Mane, Firmino.

Key Men

Arsenal

Midfield maestro Mesut Ozil has been in decent form of late (discounting the last league match against Crystal Palace) and would hold the key to Arsenal’s success against their Merseyside opponents. Lucas Torreira will also play an essential role in holding the midfield together for the Gunners.

Liverpool

The Reds will be dependent on their attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to take them over the line against the North London club. The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Virgil Van Dijk will also play an important role in the mega match against Arsenal
