According to recent reports, Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a surprise move for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack. In a recent interview with SunSport, the English talent revealed that he has been happy with life at the Lancashire club. However, he also added that if an offer came in for his services, it might be “out of his hands”.
Dack said, “I want to be here and if an offer comes in they accept it, then it out of my hands then it becomes my decision.
“I will always back my ability, I think I can go to the top level, and hopefully that will be with Blackburn.”
Bradley Dack: One Of The EFL Championship’s Rising Stars
Since completing his move from Gillingham in the summer of 2017, the 24-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising midfielders in the English Championship. He has earned a lot of praise due to his ever-improving performances on the pitch.
Dack has already scored eight goals and grabbed five assists in just 11 matches for Blackburn across all competitions. His best performance of this campaign came in the EFL Cup first-round clash versus Carlisle United when he scored a brace and set up three goals in a 5-1 victory at Brunton Park.
What Will He Add To Mauricio Pochettino’s Team?
Dack is very quick and primarily operates in the number 10 position as an attacking midfielder. He is a decent dribbler with the ball and has a knack for scoring and creating goals as evidenced by his incredible record for Blackburn this season.
The English prospect is undoubtedly a player to watch out for and will be a shrewd acquisition for Spurs if they can pull off such a deal in the near future.
Will Dack Be The Right Fit For Spurs?
Mauricio Pochettino has built up a brand of football at North London which is heavily reliant on attacking midfielders. Hence, Dack will fit in well at Tottenham and will improve their squad depth even more. However, the fact that he has not proven himself at the highest level will be a cause for concern against such a move.
Moreover, Pochettino has a whole host of attacking talents at his disposal such as Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela. Hence, he should concentrate on strengthening other areas of his squad right now and opt against a move for Dack.
