Chelsea started their Europa League clash against BATE in emphatic style with two goals coming in quick succession from Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Maurizio Sarri handed the Englishman a start, and he made no mistake in putting in a superlative performance as he added to his tally and notched up his hattrick with a third goal in the 53rd minute. The visitors put one back in through Alexei Rios but it was too little too late for them.
The Blues had a number of their first team stars rested including talisman Eden Hazard, but they never lost any composure and won the contest comfortably. Here is how the Chelsea players are rated from their convincing win against BATE.

Solid performance from the Englishman. Brought all his experience into play while guarding the goal.

Sublime footwork on display from the veteran Spaniard. Made some accurate passes into the final third.

Bamboozled the BATE defence with his brilliant skills. Undoubtedly the Man of the Match on the night.

Made several good moves to get into the box. Not threatening enough though.
Olivier Giroud: 5.5
Lacked composure in front of the goal. Not his night for sure.

Looked to keep the pressure on the opposition defenders as much as possible. A decent outing nevertheless.
