Manchester United returned to winning ways against Everton in their last match as they defeated the Toffees at Old Trafford by 2-1. The goals were scored by Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial. Jose Mourinho’s men will now look to keep their winning run intact as they face Bournemouth in their next encounter.
The Red Devils are currently on the 8th position in the league table and will look to go up the ladder as the season progresses. Bournemouth, on the other hand, are in decent form this season and are placed at the sixth position. So it is going to be a tough fixture for Mourinho’s men away from home for sure.
Team News
Diogo Dalot and Marouane Fellaini will be unavailable for the fixture given their injuries. Antonio Valencia and Scott McTominay are recovering from their injuries and will be assessed before the match.
Goalkeeper
David de Gea will feature in the goal for the Red Devils. The Spaniard was in superb form against Everton in the last match in the league and would look to replicate that against the Cherries as well.
Defence
The heart of the defence would be guarded by the pair of Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof, who did a commendable job against the Toffees. In the absence of Valencia, stand-in captain Ashley Young will start in the right back position and will be accompanied by Luke Shaw, who has been in good form since the start of the current season, as the left back.
Midfield
Paul Pogba and Fred will pair up in the central midfield. Pogba had a relatively better outing against Everton, where he opened the scoring from the spot and would look to carry over that form to the next match as well. Manchester United’s current man-in-form Anthony Martial will look to add to his tally once again against the Cherries and will start in the wide attacker role from the left, while Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard will accompany him in the building up the attacks.
Attack
With Romelu Lukaku’s goal draught continuing, Marcus Rashford would lead the line for the Red Devils against Bournemouth.
Predicted Formation: 4-2-3-1
