According to a recent report by BBC, Chelsea forward Eden Hazard will not leave the West London club during the January transfer window. However, the same report also states that the Pensioners star has agreed that he needs to depart Stamford Bridge to win the Ballon d’Or.
Hazard’s Incredible Start To This Campaign
The Blues of London have fantastically begun the season and are still unbeaten in the Premier League. Maurizio Sarri’s side currently finds themselves in the 2nd position of the league table with only goal difference separating them from Manchester City. One of the primary reasons for their recent success has been the incredible form of Eden Hazard.
The Belgian international has been unstoppable and has already put in some MOTM displays for the Pensioners so far. The 27-year-old has scored eight goals while creating three assists in 10 matches for Chelsea this season across all competitions. Hazard also had a brilliant 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign with the Belgian national team and helped his nation earn a strong 3rd placed finish in the tournament.
What Does Hazard Add To Sarri’s Team?
The La Louviere born winger has blistering pace and is arguably the best dribbler in the Premier League right now. He is also an excellent passer and has a keen eye for the goal inside the opposition box. The only aspect of Hazard’s game that has come under criticism in recent years has been his inconsistency in front of goal which he has rectified so far in this campaign.
Hazard’s Availability For The Whole Season: A Big Boost For The Pensioners?
The Chelsea star has been scoring goals for fun and has a good shot at winning the Premier League Golden Boot award this season. He is also likely to be in the running for the PFA Player of the Year award which is why it is no surprise that a big club like Real Madrid are looking to sign him shortly.
However, his refusal to switch clubs in January would be a massive boost for Chelsea as Sarri’s men look to fight for some major silverware this season. With Hazard in such marvellous form, only the sky is the limit for the Pensioners this season.
