According to a recent report by Corriere Dello Sport, Arsenal are preparing a bid to snap up Cengiz Under from AS Roma when the transfer window reopens in January. It is believed that the Serie A giants could be persuaded to part ways with their prized asset if they receive an offer in the region of £44m.

The Turkish winger has gradually improved at Roma over the past couple of seasons and is considered to have a bright future in European football. Under started his career playing in Turkey at Bucaspor before sealing a move to Altinordu and graduating from the club’s academy. He earned a switch to Basaksehir in the summer of 2016 where he scored nine goals and grabbed seven assists in 43 appearances.
AS Roma was quick to spot his talents and made a move for him last year and since making a move to Italy, the Turkish international has been a revelation after he put in some eye-catching displays during last season. He helped Roma reach the semi-final stages of the UEFA Champions League last year which will live long in the hearts of the Italian club’s loyal supporters.
Under has found the back of the net three times while creating four assists in ten matches for the Roman side across all competitions this season. At the tender age of 21, he has also managed to earn 15 international caps for the Turkish national team and has four goals to his name while playing for his country.

The 21-year-old wide man is blessed with incredible pace and is an excellent dribbler with the ball at his feet. He can beat his marker to either take shots at goal or set up his teammates in space which makes him an invaluable asset for Roma. However, Under is still lacking the end product in front of goal with his finishing attributes still having a lot of room for improvement.
