Tottenham Hotspur would travel to the San Siro to clash heads with Inter Milan on Tuesday evening as they kick things off in the UEFA Champions League. Spurs have suffered back to back defeats in the Premier League this month and are in dire need of bouncing back so this contest could prove to be an ideal opportunity for them to do so. Mauricio Pochettino has a number of injury concerns to deal with as both Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli remain sidelined. However, Heung-min Son is back from international duty which would be a big boost for their hopes of securing a result from this European encounter in midweek.
Spurs are expected to line up in a 3-5-2 with both Harry Kane and Son spearheading Pochettino’s attack.
3-5-2 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Inter Milan
Defence
Michel Vorm will start for Spurs as Hugo Lloris is still sidelined with an injury. Pochettino might opt for a back three for this contest so we can expect Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld to make up Tottenham’s backline at the San Siro.
The North London outfit conceded two goals in each of their last two matches so the Tottenham defenders would have to put on a much better display on Tuesday night if they are to stop Inter Milan from scoring.
Midfield
The Tottenham midfield would be comprised of Harry Winks and Mousa Dembele operating as the holding midfielders while Christian Eriksen plays in a bit of an advanced role at the centre of the park. Both Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier will play as the wing-backs so they would need to have a good game if Spurs are to succeed at the San Siro.
Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko will miss out on this encounter due to hamstring problems while Eric Dier could be available on the bench if needed.
Forward
Pochettino might opt to start with two strikers up top. Harry Kane has been in a poor run of form of late and so, Spurs might start with Heung-Min Son operating alongside him in the opposition half. Despite the fact that both forwards have got limited rest over the past few months, the Tottenham faithful will hope that they can build a strong partnership up top and bang in some goals for the away team. Lucas Moura to be given a rest and to come on as an impact sub if needed.
