Wolves have already made their record signing by bringing in Adama Traore from Middlesbrough, however, they are not yet done with their transfer dealings as now they are looking to secure a move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie. Reports in Italy suggest that Wolves are prepared to pay £36m to acquire the services of the 21-year-old midfielder.
With just a few hours remaining in the transfer window, Wolves will have to move in quick to secure his services. At just 21, he has been an integral part of Milan’s squad as he made 54 appearances in all competitions last season. Kessie is a central midfielder but can turn out in a more conservative defensive midfielder role as well.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been shrewd in his transfer dealings so far and that has provided rich dividends to his side. He has already acquired the likes of Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio and is looking to strengthen more to take on the challenges of the Premier League.
The midfielder was applauded by his manager Gennaro Gattuso last season where he even went on to say that- ‘Kessie is far better than I ever was’ Those are certainly some high praise from a top midfielder. Kessie has everything to his game which a midfielder needs. He is strong and uses his physical aspects well to protect the ball. The Ivorian is also able to pick out his teammates with a pass and at just 21 he is an established name in Serie A.

Some might suggest that 36m is too much for the midfielder but such is the market today that one has to pay such amount to land their targets especially when the player is regular for his current outfit. Wolves have plenty of options in the central midfield so it will be interesting to see whether they will splash the cash to land the 21-year-old.
