According to a report published in The Sun on Sunday (05/08; Page 60), as cited by HITC, Newcastle United are looking to make a last-ditch attempt to bring the out of favour Liverpool striker Danny Ings to St James Park this summer. The Magpies are hopeful that the Reds might let the player leave on loan despite their £20m valuation for him.
Jurgen Klopp, reportedly, has no problem in letting the Englishman leave, given that the stipulated price is met by his suitors. However, the Tyneside club is not a cash-rich one and it might not be possible for them to land the player this summer due to his high price tag.
A deal, though, can be struck between the two parties as Liverpool can let Newcastle United have the player on loan this summer, as the report states. However, they will have to pay up £15m next summer if Ings helps them stay in the Premier League and also manages to stay uninjured throughout the season.
Injuries have been the biggest concern for the English forward over the last few years, which is stopping him from replicating his form from the days of Burnley. However, if he can help himself to make it through to the end of the next season without any injuries, then it will not only be a very good move for the player himself to boost his confidence but also for the Magpies, who are looking to get a substantial figure up front after last season’s goal drought.

Liverpool shrewd planning can see the player re-establish himself as a top striker and hopefully a good business deal can be struck between the two clubs in the next summer, depending upon Ings’ performance.
