Manchester City have started their title defence in style with two wins in two matches, both being easy affairs for them so far. The Citizens took their chances against Arsenal in their first match and won it by 2-0 while they decimated the Huddersfield Town defence in the second one, winning the game by a staggering margin of 6-1.
Pep Guardiola’s men will be facing the Premier League newcomers Wolves in their next match. The Championship winners from the last term looked good in their first match against Everton but struggled in their second match of the campaign against Leicester City.
Manchester City would be looking to extend their winning run, but Nuno Santo’s men would not be the easiest of opponents to deal with here. The Premier League new boys have many good players on their side and would look to make things as difficult as possible for the opposition in their next outing.
Team News
Guardiola has a fully fit squad at his disposal barring goalkeeper Claudio Bravo and midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne, who are out with injuries. However, the Spanish gaffer has a number of options at his disposal, but he might go in with the same set of players that started against Huddersfield.
Predicted 3-1-4-2 Manchester City Lineup Vs Wolves
Defence
Ederson will start in the goal for the Citizens while the back three will consist of Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Vincent Kompany. All of them have shown great attitude and composure to lead their side to victories and would look to repeat that in their next match as well. Mendy will start as a wing back.
Midfield
In the absence of De Bruyne, the enigmatic Spanish playmaker David Silva has taken the onus of leading the charge from the midfield and showed his class in the last match against the Terriers. He was given ample support by the likes of Fernandinho, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, who would all have to play a crucial role once again against Wolves.
Attack
Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus looked to take the opposition apart in their last match with the Argentine scoring a brilliant hat-trick. Though Guardiola might go in with Raheem Sterling ahead of Gabriel Jesus when they face Wolves, it will be exciting to see what the City forwards have in store for them.
